Getting Started
Make sure that you have the Kindle app already installed on your device. This software is available for both Windows and Mac. Follow Some Simple Steps!
As soon as you open the Epubor Ultimate on your PC screen, you will see the clean interfaced window.
Step 1: Click on the options button at the top left corner.
Step 2: As soon as you do that, you will see different eBook options, like Kindle, eReader, Adobe, etc. In our particular case, you will have to select the “Kindle” tab to proceed.
Step 3: The tab will be empty if you do not already have a Kindle book on your device. New Kindle eBooks must be downloaded from Kindle for PC application. As soon as a download is complete, the eBook will be displayed under the “Kindle” tab in Epubor Ultimate. Refresh the list after every new download by clicking the “Kindle” tab button.
Before downloading books from Kindle for PC, ensure that you open Epubor Ultimate first. It will fail to decrypt if you don’t do this. This is due to the fact that Epubor Ultimate will automatically execute a Command Prompt in order to prevent Kindle for PC from obtaining Kindle books with the most recent DRM protection.
Please also be aware that Epubor Ultimate only displays the Kindle-format files that are stored in a particular folder. The default location of the folder is C:\Users\UserName\Documents\My Kindle Content. You may choose a different location from the settings menu. Step 5: Now click the arrow beside the “Convert to” button at the bottom. This provides you with various options to choose from, like ePUB, PDF, TXT, MOBI, and AZW3.
Step 6: Select the ePUB option because this is the format supported by Kobo. As soon as you choose the ePUB option the button’s text will change to “Convert to EPUB”. Just click it and the conversion process starts.
The Results
Conversion takes just a few moments and a green tick mark is displayed to signify success. You can access the file by clicking on the “folder” icon at the bottom-right corner. Now you may copy the files from the destination folder and upload them to Kobo.
